The study of Lewis and Clark can have so many topics. You could easily replace any of these minibooks with the plants and animals fact books on the Westward Ho page. The animals on the Westward Ho page are the same ones that Lewis and Clark "sketched" and wrote about.
When we covered Westward Ho as a co-op we covered more of the animals then that were "discovered" by the Corp of Discovery. There were so many animals and plants we wanted to explore them with our co-op setting. So if you do this topic with a co-op, the animals and plants really lend themselves nice to a group setting.
If not, you can simply add a flap to this lapbook and add in the Louisiana Purchase on this page and the animals and plants on the Westward Ho page.
In addition, some of the girls in our co-op elevated Sacagawea to almost the "Leader" of the Corp of Discovery...LOL. So we added another matchbook minibook on Sacagawea that too can be substituted if they want to do research on her.

The Sierra Club does a beautiful job on Lewis and Clark. They have keeping it will, then and now, on the trail and the photos of the animals are just beautiful. In addition there is a 50 page pdf download that you could almost just use by itself as a study guide. Many of the facts on the animals from the Westward Ho lapbook came from this reference.
